School's ending next Friday. That seems like something to look forward to. I have so many parties that I have to go to this coming weekend, and the weekend after school; it's crazy! The end of the school year just sounds like more work to me.

Today we had an 8th Grade Orientation around the high school that I'll be attending for the next four years. The school seems pretty cool, and the teachers aren't that bad. Once I heard how much work I was going to have to do over summer and my Freshman year, I knew I was finished.

Over the summer, I have to read these three huge books, since I'm taking quite a few honors classes. I have to read:

• The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain
• Escape from Slavery by Francis Bok
• Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin

I'm not gonna be able to procrastinate or shirk this assignment. We have to take a huge exam on all three books the first week we come back from school. Hurrah! Luckily, I already started Tom Sawyer, so I'm ahead of the game.

The reading isn't bad, it's just that I like the READING part, not picking apart the book and taking detailed notes. I find that very unenjoyable \:

We also have a lovely, thick math packet that we have to complete over the summer! It's gonna be graded and we're gonna be tested on the contents of the packet. Great. I'm definitely not looking forward to that.

Summer is supposed to be a time to kick back and relax, but to me, it just seems like I'm only ending school and the beginning of an endless amount of work.

I have a lot of parties, weddings, and birthday parties to go to over the summer. That's one of the few good things; I get to be with my friends. I'm also going to Europe in the beginning of July for 10 days. I'm very excited for that! And this time, I'm going with my MOM instead of my Gramma, and I'm going to a lot of awesome places (; Maybe I'll even take some pictures and post them. I'm going to London, Canterbury, and Paris n___n

The rest of July shouldn't be too crazy. I'll probably be at my Mimi's beach house in Wildwood a lot. I'm hoping to go there and spend some time with my family <3

The beginning of August should be the same as July, except I'll probably be doing a lot more work during this time. I'll be going over my notes for the books that I hopefully finished by then and rewrite the notes so I'll be ready for school in September. My birthday is also in August. It's August 19th to be exact. I might be going into the city then.

I'm doing Marching Band as an extra curricular activity this year, so I have to go to band camp for a week; it's the last week of August. That should be fun. We'll be practicing formations and our music.

Any time after that should be just getting ready for high school and getting all of my supplies. Marching band is 5 days a week. Practice goes from 4-6. But my school ends around 2 or so; I'll have to stay at the school for like two hours with my friends or something and go do homework or go into the town and get ice cream or something. I'm looking forward to that part >w< But we have tournaments every Saturday for about a month. So there goes my time on Saturday T~T I could live without that part. We also get to travel around the world, though, so that should be exciting >w<

So going back to my classes, I'm going to have A LOT of homework. I swear, I'm going to be extremely stressed out. My mom is going to get me a professional planner so I can stay on schedule and everything. She's even considering getting me one of those palm pilot things so I have an automatic 'modernized' planner. Geez, I don't need one of those at this age. But if she insists. . .

By reading this, you can tell that I won't be on as often as I'd like to. I really hope that I am and I can get some art up or something. But it's very likely that I won't be able to be on.
